Vintage Saturday afternoon at Dragon Hall

I will start this new post by apologising profusely. I'm sorry, I've been rubbish at updating my blog regularly as I had promised to myself... But after the lovely time I had on Saturday afternoon at the Little Vintage Lover Fair held at Dragon Hold in Norwich, I had no excuse not to write!

I had never visited Dragon Hall before, but for £2 and wonderful vintage clothes and accessories to see, the opportunity was too good to miss. Dragon Hall is an extremely well-restored medieval trading hall built in the 1430s. I was lucky when I arrived as the mist had finally gone, making way to a bright crisp autumn sun. The light and the feeling of warmth were almost overwhelming when I entered the wooden building.

The building isn't huge, and they weren't that many stalls, but each of them had so many little things to rummage through that I stayed for a good hour and a half. There was something for the taste of every vintage lover, with collectibles from the 1920s to the 1980s and most importantly cakes and tea served in vintage china!

I tried on a beautiful silver silk dress, very 1930s, graceful and elegant, but unfortunately a bit big. I now think I should have bought it, as it would have made -with a bit of work- a sleek and stylish evening dress . But I still found little marvels, and am now the proud owner of a very ladylike pearl necklace and a so-chic turquoise silk scarf.
