Yes, I am a little bit of a nester...

I have just moved house and have kept extremely busy packing, painting, cleaning, unpacking, sorting and many other things we all love doing. I am only starting to feel home now which means one thing: hunting for beautiful but unnecessary things.

New mugs - no washing-up
breakage permitted!
I fell in love a while back with gorgeous mugs at Frank's Bar, on Bedford Street. They were just the right size for a big comforting cup of tea, with deep vibrant blue swirly branches and stylised owls. I had been on the lookout for something similar since, and I found it at Jocelyne Clement, on the same street. I have to say that £15 per mug is a bit extravagant, hence restricting myself to two mugs - at the moment...

Inke vintage birds

I don't know if it's because I miss the outdoors now it's winter, but I seem to have developed a strange love for birds. I spotted vintage wall stickers birds a few days ago while wandering about on the internet, and even if I don't have any furniture what so ever in my dinning room yet, I knew exactly where they would be perfect. I haven't ordered them yet, but I managed to convince my sensible side that a matching (uh huh...) cushion for the armchair I could visualise in the corner would be perfect.
Pretty bird nesting in the corner
I had seen it at John Lewis when I was looking for a Christmas present for my Mum. I got a bit side tracked, but it's made of linen and silk, it's full of colours, and I could swear it was pining for a nice  home.

If like me you're always looking for pretty things for your home, now is the perfect time of the year with craft fairs and Christmas markets all over the place.
